Recorded at Warm Studios in Texas, the trumpet is designed to stand alongside our other Midnight instruments just as comfortably as it holds its own. Performed by Matthew Collins and engineered by Matt Meli, it’s full-bodied, ballsy, and brimming with attitude (the trumpet, not those fellas. Maybe.)
Articulations are extensive: slur legato, tongued legato, gliss legato, short and long bend attacks, short and long bend falls, gliss falls, doits, shakes, short and long taper attacks, plus automatic tongued/open release triggers.

SPECIFICATIONS
Matt Collins is a first-call commercial trumpet player based in Austin, Texas. Originally from Sydney, Australia, he spent years performing in Broadway pit orchestras, recording sessions, touring productions, and a wide variety of ensembles.
Before relocating to the United States, Matt lived in Vienna, Austria, where he held a full-time position with a studio orchestra. During his time there, he also contributed to numerous sampling projects, bringing extensive experience in both live performance and studio recording.
For Midnight Trumpet, Matt performed on a vintage Bach 72 trumpet paired with a Bob Reeves 43M mouthpiece.
