Fingerstyle Banjo is a warm, fingerstyle legato library for Kontakt. 

The first entry in our Dust & Steel Series, the banjo is a staple of Americana and Western genres. Scruggs-style three-finger picking is already competently represented in the sampling world, but we wanted to address the emotive, melancholy side that the banjo is wonderfully capable of.

So instead of fingerpicks, our banjo — like all of our Fingerstyle offerings — is played with bare fingers, resulting in a beautiful, mellow tone that’s criminally underrepresented in the market.

In addition to our usual meticulously-produced smattering of sustains, legato articulations, fret slides and noises, we’ve also included simple quarter-note patterns in five different tempos, ranging from 60–140 BPM, that’ll lock to your project’s tempo.

We’ve also included the strum engine we introduced in Parallax Guitar. Hold notes in the playable range, hit the strum up and down keys, adjust strum speed with CC. Boom.
